The Architecture and Art building was built in 1967 during the second phase of campus construction. This was the Netsch’s first attempt at Field Theory, his signature contribution to architecture. Only 40% of the building was completed; the classroom wings were never added.
A large block of granite on the south side bears the name Architecture and Art.
